Michael Evans

is a native of Auckland, New Zealand, Michael received a Master’s degree in Art History from Auckland University. He has over 15 years experience in the business of Fine Art, and has worked with a number of dealers in New Zealand, Great Britain and the United States. In 2005 he branched out and started dealing exclusively in tribal art, specializing in Oceanic Art and 19th Century photography of native peoples from the South Pacific. Currently Michael participates in a number of international art fairs, including Michael Evans Tribal ArtParcours des Mondes and TAF Amsterdam.

We buy and sell individual pieces as well as collections.
We specialize in objects from around Oceania – Polynesia, Melanesia, Aborigine Australia, and Micronesia, and are always looking to buy early tribal art from these regions. We also have an interest in both historic and pre-history Inuit objects from North America.
